"It is eight years now that the country fell to ruin, its heroes scattered or laid to waste before the might of the great wyrm Sulfur the Younger. Over a month long period he rampaged the Dragon Fortresses and turned Velyadin, the capital, into so much waste and ruin. It was then that we were forced out of our family lands as orcs from the north pushed past the weakened defenses and took hold of the country, forcing the Royal family into exile, and shattering and burning the country like so much dried wood. Only within the last few years have new Heroes arisen from areas of the country that were not damaged and retaken large parts of the Kingdom. An uncertain peace is in the country now as it attempts to rebuild. On one hand, it is fighting off ancient enemies, and it must also defend itself from enemies of the new Empire it has thrown its support behind, defending it from forces bent on destroying the new government."
